Well, you don't see many of these.  This was a recent eBay score that I simply could not pass up.  I had been wanting a bass for some time now and had been considering having a custom Carvin bass built.  I also had the need for a backup hardtail 6-string.

I truly lucked out buying this sight unseen (with the exception of the small auction photos over the Internet)... the wood and paint on this thing were in great shape.  The switches and pots were shot and the gold tuning keys were slightly pitted.  However, a little work and a bit more $$$ was all it took to restore this collectors item to her original state (original - except for the way-cool gold knobs).

She now looks and plays like new.
